Virtual Extension - Real
Extending
Mr. Ford owns
a taxi cab company in which there are 60 drivers (some part time)
and 45 cabs. He bought a traditional PBX with 4 trunk lines / 12
extension lines for contacting both customers and cab drivers. He
is now facing a problem of inefficiency: For privacy concerns, most
of the cab drivers will not leave their cell phone numbers for use
unless there is an emergency. Mr. Ford has spent money hiring several
assistants to take messages and pass them on to the cab drivers.
Very few of the messages are urgent.
Is there a solution
allowing each cab driver to have their own voice mailbox that can
be accessed whenever and wherever they want?
The Virtual
Extension function helps to reduce communication problems.
Virtual
Extension is a PBX function that allows businesses to have
as many extension numbers/Voice mailboxes as they need regardless
of the number of physical extension lines installed.
Through the
software-based architecture of TelePCX, a PC PBX, businesses can
now have more powerful and flexible PBX functions. Virtual
Extension is one of them. Virtual Extension enables the
following:

- Timely
Response
With a unique
phone extension, a driver no longer needs to worry about missing
important messages or phone calls, nor do they need to rely
on the assistance of others in urgent situations. They are able
to remotely access their voice mailbox, anytime and anywhere,
to respond in a timely manner to urgent messages.
- Call Forwarding
When an
employee is out of the office, the system will automatically
forward all incoming calls to a preset phone number. There are
4 types of phone numbers available for this option: extension
number, phone number, mobile number, and pager number.
- One Number
Follow Me
The road
warriors can preset the "One Number Follow Me" function to have
the system forward incoming calls to up to 5 phone numbers,
to ensure that they won't miss any important phone calls while
out of the office.
- Message
Notification
If a caller
leaves a message in the voice mailbox, the driver will be informed
right away.
- Boomerang
The Boomerang
function of TelePCX will allow a driver to return a call with
ease, by simply pressing a key to Boomerang/Return the Call.
The system will automatically make a return call according to
the recorded Caller ID (if available).
What do you benefit
from TelePCX?
- Voice over IP
